《The Handmaiden 下女的誘惑》剛獲得第71屆BAFTA英國電影學院最佳外語電影。光榮歸功於韓國導演朴贊郁,原創英國作家Sarah Waters也跟著提高國際知名度。
比起過去改編Sarah Waters的電視劇集,電影的製作品質確實大幅精進。跨文化的改編方式應該也相當符合BAFTA的口味。

In a novel you, perhaps, have one main voice – stage is a much more dynamic medium. You can’t control your audience in the way you can control a reader. While I always liked being in control of a piece of writing, it’s a big responsibility as well.
